Village life
Mallorca’s villages are defined by their individuality, history and strong sense of place. From the mountain settings of Deià, Fornalutx, Valldemossa and Biniaraix to the lively squares of Sóller and Pollença, village living offers authenticity, community and year-round life. Stone streets, weekly markets and local cafés shape daily routines, with life lived largely on foot. Closely connected to their surroundings, these villages reflect Mallorca at its most characterful and enduring.
Village living in Mallorca varies subtly from place to place, and understanding those differences matters.
Deià is shaped by culture, setting and energy, while Fornalutx and Biniaraix are admired for their beauty, traditions and intimate scale. Sóller centres on its main square and surrounding valley, offering a strong year-round community, while Pollença is open and welcoming, supported by both town life and nearby beaches.
More central villages such as Alaró and Santa Maria are popular with international owners who spend longer periods on the island. Life here is more settled and residential, with space to live comfortably year round, easy movement in and out of Palma, and a strong connection to both town communities, the year round fiestas and the surrounding countryside.
Having worked across the island for many years, we understand not only each village, but which lifestyles and clients they naturally suit. Our Village Life collection brings together homes chosen for how naturally they belong within their setting and the way of living each village supports.
