Alaró
Alaró is one of Mallorca’s most characterful inland villages, set in a quiet valley and framed by its distinctive twin mountains, often called the twin sisters Puig d’Alaró and Puig de s’Alcadena. The village has a strong, welcoming centre with good local restaurants, a weekly market and a solid year round community that feels genuinely connected. Alaró has an ease and warmth to it, shaped by village life, regular shared local events and a setting that feels grounded and quietly dramatic.
What draws people to Alaró is the balance it offers.
The village sits close enough to Palma to work for everyday life, while feeling firmly rooted in the countryside. Around the centre, the landscape opens into olive groves, vineyards and peaceful lanes. Home to spacious properties with generous, flat gardens something increasingly hard to find elsewhere on the island. The surrounding mountains shape daily life, with direct access to some of Mallorca’s best walking and cycling routes, including the climb to Castell d’Alaró, a landmark that has long defined the area. Alaró attracts a natural mix of Mallorcan and international residents who value community, outdoor life and a village that feels active all year without ever losing its authenticity.
