The South East
The South East of Mallorca is defined by its coastline. This is where the island’s most beautiful beaches sit, clear, turquoise water, pale sand and an ease that feels unmistakably Mediterranean. From Santanyí and Ses Salines to harbours like Porto Colom, Porto Petro and Cala Figuera, the region brings together countryside, ports and beaches that are often described as the Caribbean of the Mediterranean.
Days in the South East are shaped by the sea.
Beaches such as Es Trenc and Cala Llombards are places to arrive early and leave late, settling into chiringuitos where lunch turns into afternoon and time quietly disappears. The coastline is dotted with calas that invite swimming, drifting and doing very little at all. Inland, villages like Son Macià and Es Carritxó sit among open countryside, home to large fincas and long, sun washed views. Santanyí anchors the region with community and culture, but life is lived between the beach, the boat and the countryside. It is barefoot, relaxed and joyfully unhurried.
