An absolutely wonderful property, situated in ever-charming and exclusive Deia, just a short stroll from the heart of the village. With delightful outdoor space and lovely pool, this is an ideal home for buyers keen to share in Deia's unique romance.

Boasting a total of four bedrooms and five bathrooms, this is a light-flooded house designed to make the most of its spectacular mountain backdrop. With a fully equipped and thoughtfully planned open kitchen, and elegant indoor dining space (as well as relaxed and informal outdoor dining), the ground floor sets the tone for easy to use, easy to enjoy indoor-outdoor holidays and longer stays. With a total living area of some 371m², the plan allows for continual coming and going between the cool, white open kitchen and dining area, with their soft-hue tiled floor, to the inviting, bougainvillea-decked gardens and pool area. At the other side of the ground floor, there's a more formal and elegant dining space, perfect for entertaining friends and guests for long and relaxing evenings. This is divided from the beautiful lounge area by a modern fireplace which ensures that time in Deia is appealing, even in the autumn and winter months.

About the property

As well as its very pleasing lounge, dining and open kitchen areas, and its flow to the garden and pool, the ground floor includes an inviting interior courtyard (perfect to retreat to with a good book for some 'me time'), and an idyllic, sun-washed space ideal as an office, studio or library. Upstairs, the house has four very generously sized bedrooms, two of which enjoy ensuite bathrooms. The master suite, which has an extremely useful seating/home office area, open to the room but accessed ingeniously up a short flight of stairs, also enjoys a decadent sunken bath from which, with windows open and shutters back, your bathing is enhanced by an unparalleled mountain view.

With their lovely, rich-toned wooden floors and cupboards, every bedroom provides welcome, comfort and practical convenience to match the fabulous views over the pool and terrace, gardens or out to the glorious Tramuntana. The whole house benefits from oil fired central heating and excellent air conditioning, and also has a separate laundry (with bathroom) to keep the inevitable requirements of family life during extended visits efficiently out of sight. There are two covered car parking spaces, and a well-placed elevator to make installing yourselves and your luggage into the house when you arrive fast and effortless. This is a stunning home, beautifully maintained, and in a quite unforgettable setting.

Deia

With dramatic views of the Mediterranean, the coastal village of Deia, in the North West of the island south of Soller, lies in a steep valley at the foot of the Teix mountain.

The village's unique and ever-changing ambience has been a magnet for artists, poets and writers for more than a century. In modern times it has been a home from home for some of the music business's best known names, whose privacy and anonymity are respected here by all, simply as a matter of course.

With its traditional green-shuttered, honey-coloured stone houses, Deia is one of the prettiest villages in the Balearics. In the centre of the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Site, from the village it's easy to spend unforgettable summer days dipping in and out of the sea at Cala Deia, travelling from cove to cove and dining on perfect paella at Ca’s Patro March. In the late afternoon, the sinking sun paints the surrounding mountains an incredible burnt orange, tinged with all the shades of indigo, violet and pink imaginable.

Evenings, too, are a delight in Deia. Dine at the Michelin-starred Es Raco des Teix or one of the other intimate eateries, before moving on to enjoy a fabulous late night at Sa Fonda.
