Fornalutx

Fornalutx is full of colour, tradition and daily village life. Surrounded by mountains and lived in all year, it offers a rare balance of beauty, warmth and a way of life that works simply.

Fornalutx is reached through Sóller or from Port de Sóller along one of the island’s most beautiful roads. Small, open all year and deeply traditional, it is shaped by family run restaurants, local fiestas, an extraordinary bakery, a village shop and a close community that genuinely lives here.

Fornalutx is one of those rare villages that feels lived in rather than visited. We lived here for six years and it became part of who we are.

Life is shaped by family run restaurants, a bakery that the whole valley relies on, and a calendar filled with local fiestas and traditions that bring the village together. The colours of the mountains change through the seasons. Endless walking trails leave directly from the village, the Saturday morning walk to Sóller market becomes part of the week, and the drive over to Cala Tuent still feels like one of the island’s best kept secrets. Life here unfolds through habit, routine and simple pleasures, shaped by place, people and the landscape that surrounds it.
